24: My Birthday Weekend Recap
This past weekend was my 24th birthday but to be honest I'm not really a "Birthday Person". Years and years ago, I always used to set high expectations for my birthday. I would hope and dream it would be the most fun day, doing the most fun things and that everyone I knew would want to celebrate with me. But after getting let down time and again, I finally decided to just keep my birthday low key. So every year I plan my birthday to just be a day of relaxation and this year was no exception.
We started the weekend off by having lunch at one of our favorites in Baltimore, Gordon Biersch Brewery. Their garlic fries are TO DIE FOR and their seafood cobb is incredible.
Afterwards, we headed over to J.Crew to do a little birthday shopping. I picked up some great sale items and some current new favorites! Dying over this sweatshirt with the tie back. Seriously so cute and so comfy!
We ended our night cuddled up on the couch watching Netflix (currently watching The Office). And of course, stayed up til midnight (I’m literally a grandma) just so Peter could be the first to wish me Happy Birthday.
For my actual birthday we headed over to my favorite brunch spot, Miss Shirley’s. Yes it’s a tourist spot. No I do not care because their gluten free banana pancakes are the key to my heart. But honestly you couldn’t go wrong with anything there. Peter’s favorite is their chicken and waffles. Once he discovered those, he never ordered anything else here lol!
Later in the afternoon, I treated myself to a spa day. I got myself a hot stone massage and it was seriously just what I needed!
For dinner, Peter ordered pizza and poured me a glass of red wine. I then ended the night by using up some of the bath bombs I’ve had laying around for awhile! Overall, it was a nice and relaxing birthday.
I’m so thankful to be able to spend my birthday how I want and I’m so happy to be where I am in life. Twenty three was definitely good to me, but I’m excited to see what twenty four has in store.
