Sick of my wedding posts yet? Because here’s another one! But seriously I hope I’m not annoying you all with everything and anything wedding related on my blog.

I started this blog as a way to make new friends, meet new people and to share my life. And right now my life is basically my wedding! So it only seems fitting that my blog and Instagram are so wedding-centric right now.

One of the biggest questions I’ve been getting asked from followers and friends and even random people is How are you prepping for the wedding? Are you dieting/working out? What’s your skincare routine? Well ladies and gentleman I’m about to break it down for you!

To be honest I’ve only started to take this whole Bridal Beauty prep thing seriously in the last month. Yes I’ve been working out for longer than that but everything else is fairly new. Let’s jump in!

Bar Method.

First and foremost, you’ve probably seen it allll over my Instagram now but I just recently started classes at The Bar Method in Locust Point and I’m doing their Bridal Bar Package! I’ve become so obsessed with barre in just one week I kind of feel insane. I just love being able to get out all of my stresses after a long day and tone my body while working on my posture! Doesn’t hurt that everyone at The Bar Method is BEYOND sweet! You can read all about my experience at their Grand Opening here. Their Bridal Bar Package is PERFECT if you’re a new Bmore Bride. You get 3 months unlimited with a complimentary pause on your account when you head away on your honeymoon! You also get the cutest bridal bar swag bag with a Bar Bride tank and Bride barre socks which I have DEFINITELY been rocking in class! You also get a private class for 15 friends, hello instant mini-bachelorette party! All for $425! I seriously can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to keep continuing.

Gimme That Water.

One thing that I’ve always always always been terrible at is drinking enough water. It’s so terrible and I’m trying to be better. It’s recommended to drink anywhere from 0.5 oz to 1 oz per pounds you weigh. For example, I weigh 120 so my recommended water intake is 60-120 oz per day. I’ve been trying to hit in that range and can see a change in my skin for sure! I also feel myself craving water more and craving less sugary drinks.

Skin Care.

A little bit ago I shared my entire skincare routine on the blog (you can read it here) and while it’s pretty much stayed the same I have definitely kicked it up a notch. I’m doing face masks every week, deep cleaning my pores and religiously taking my Hair/Skin/Nails vitamins. I have to say I’m not sure if it’s the skin car products I use, the vitamins or the water but my skin has never looked better! I’m so happy with how clean and smooth it is now and feel totally confident going into our wedding month.

Teeth Whitening.

About a year ago I had trays made at my dentist’s office to whiten my teeth. They gave me gel so that I could just whiten them at home and it worked so well for me! Fast forward to now, I haven’t been the best with trying to avoid coffee and wine stains unfortunately. So I’ve started whitening my teeth again. Since then I no longer go to that dentist and I ended up just ordering whitening gel off Amazon after some extensive research. It’s been almost a week now and I’m starting to see a difference and am super happy with my Amazon purchase.

Coconut Oil.

Coconut Oil has seriously been my godsend in my wedding beauty prep process. I have been using it all over my skin and it has helped to smooth and tone it out. I’ve always had issues with super dry skin on the back of my legs and arms; with some dark spot issues as well. But luckily after using coconut oil after my showers, it has made a serious difference in my skin. Plus it smells DELICIOUS.

In the next month leading up to the wedding, I pretty much just plan to stick to my routines and not make any major changes. I’ve been pretty happy with all of my results and hope that everything goes as planned! Hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my wedding beauty prep process.

Is it just me or when it comes to summer do you stick to the same few beauty products? Maybe it’s the heat or the carefree-ness of summer that keeps me sticking to the same routine, but I find myself doing this each and every summer. Whereas fall and winter, I’m constantly experimenting and changing it up!

Once you find a product that you love, it’s hard to mix it up. If you love the color, know it works with your skin and works for almost any occasion, why change it up?! I’m sharing what’s currently in my summer make up bag and what I’ve been keeping consistent this summer.

Nars Laguna Bronzer

While this bronzer is definitely on the more expensive side, I’ve honestly never been able to find anything like it. The color is so similar to a sunkissed glow. It instantly makes me look tanner and a little bit of it goes a long way! This is especially helpful during summer since I tend to keep my face out of the sun. The Nars Laguna Bronzer allows me to match my face to the rest of my somewhat tan skin.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara // L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black

Okay is anyone else guilty of the double mascara technique?! I think my favorite or most crucial element of makeup application is my eyelashes. I feel like they’re the key to holding it all together and brightening my face up. I honestly feel lost without any mascara on. My favorite technique right now is to use the L’Oreal Voluminous Black after curling my lashes to darken and lengthen them. Then I go back in with the Benefit to de-clump and lengthen further. One day I’ll get lash extensions or figure out how to do falsies on my own. But for right now, this is what works for me!

Benefit Posietint Cheek and Lip Stain

I have been loving this little cheek tint from Benefit lately! I got it as a sample and it was definitely something I wouldn’t have bought on my own. I’ve always been a powder blush kinda gal and assumed liquid would make you look clown-like. I WAS WRONG! This stuff is incredible! I just put it on with my beauty blender right after my foundation, blend it all in and it look so natural. Giving me that perfect peachy glow for summer. Have yet to try it as a lip stain yet!

L’Oreal Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator

Another little liquid trick is the L’Oreal Lumi Liquid Highlighter. I discovered this a while ago, stopped using it and now am back to using it daily! I use it almost as a primer on my cheek bones, chin, forehead and upper lip before applying anything else. It gives me that subtle highlight for everyday.

Beauty Counter Nourishing Eye Cream

I’ve gotta give props to my girl, Holly Murphy at Invisible Crowne Blog, for introducing me to the Beauty Counter line. She sent me over some samples and while I haven’t been able to try them all out (sorry, Holly!) I have been using this under eye cream religiously! Before this, I was using Caudalie’s Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm and wasn’t noticing too much of a difference. So when I switched over I was so impressed. The cream is so moisturizing and brightens up my eyes! I’ve been using it during my nighttime skincare routine.

Those have been my favorite products so far this summer that I’ve been using on repeat! One thing I have been switching between is foundation. I’ve been in a rut where I can’t find one I like that isn’t crazy expensive. Let me know if you have any recommendations in the comments below or on my latest Instagram post!

Oatmeal Honey Face Scrub

Ok so lately I’ve become somewhat of a “Face Mask Addict”. It’s bad. But I can’t help it!

Everytime I put on a face mask I feel relaxed. There’s something about using a face mask that feels luxurious and calming. All while helping your skin!

I’ve mostly been using the Biore Black Mask which I highly recommend! But recently, I’ve also wanted to try out some more natural face masks with ingredients I have around the house! Below are some of my favorites that I found via Pinterest. (Follow me for more inspo!)

Let me know if you try any out and how they work for you!

Acne + Scar Face Mask

If you’re like me, you might have some acne scarring on your face from your younger years. It’s something that really bothers me but I didn’t really know what to do about it. Until I found this great DIY Mask. The lemon juice and nutmeg in this one really help to reduce the look of any scarring you might have.

  • 2 Tbsp Honey

  • 2 tsp Lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp Nutmeg

  • 2 Tbsp Oatmeal

Start by grinding the oatmeal into finer pieces, using your fingers or food processor. Add in the nutmeg and stir. Mix in the lemon juice. Finally, pour in the honey and mix well. Apply the mask all over and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Gently exfoliate while rinsing off the mixture.

Coconut Oil + Honey

This is one of my favorites because it’s literally so simple and it helps so much! I’ve been seriously loving Coconut Oil for so many things recently and this is one of them.

  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil

  • 2 tsp Honey

  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

Mix all of the ingredients together and apply all over your face. Leave the mask on for 15-20 mins then rinse with warm water. It’s seriously so easy and makes your skin so smooth.

Oatmeal Honey Face Scrub

Ok so technically not a face mask, but still a beauty DIY! This one is great for clearing out your pores and smoothing your skin! I mean what’s not to love about that?!

  • Two parts Oatmeal (finely ground up)

  • One part honey

  • One part coconut oil

Mix everything together until you get a thick mixture and then scrub all over your face! You can even leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse off with water. So simple and easy!
